ANNOUNCEMENT

For the convenience of the spectators during their entrance in the athletic facilities of the Olympic Athletic Center of Athens (OAKA) for the football final Champions League 2007, which will take place on Wednesday May 23rd and for the avoidance of delays at the control points, we remind once again the prohibited” and “not allowed items” .

“Prohibited items” are those which have been defined by the current greek legislation as “dangerous by their nature” and are consequently prohibited in all athletic facilities:

Ø      Weapons

Ø      Explosive and flammable materials

Ø      Chemical or incendiary mechanisms

Ø      Teargas

Ø      Smoke bombs

Ø      Knives

Ø      Narcotic or other prohibited substances

Ø      Fireworks, firecrackers and other similar items

Ø      Staff/poles

Ø      Clubs

Ø      Generally items that can provoke physical damage

Ø      Alcoholic drinks

Ø      Effervescent drinks in tin cans or glass bottles

To those spectators who carry a respective accreditation, who will attempt to enter in the athletic facilities carrying such items, entrance will be prohibited and the current legislation will be applied.

If the public notices the existence of a prohibited item or its possession by a person, please notify immediately the Police.

Not allowed items are those that have been defined by the Organizing Committee such as:

•    Motorbikes, mopeds, bicycles, skates, skateboards
•    Professional photographic cameras or professional video cameras
•     Flags or banners with insulting or racist content
•     Banners that are placed on metallic or wooden frames, poles etc
•     Laser equipment and other equipment that cause discomfort
•     Balls, racquettes, umbrellas, frisbees and similar items
•     Big number of coins, lighters, printed material for advertising purposes and any other content, proclamations, leaflets etc.
•     Glass bottles, flasks, mini coolers, thermos and other related items (plastic bottles without cap are allowed).
•    Food (there are exceptions when health reasons exist and can be proven by the respective medical documentation)
•    Animals (with the exception of the police dogs and the dog escorts of people with vision problems)
•     Large items, bags, suitcases, folded seats or chairs etc.

Additionally, all citizens are requested to follow instructions and directions of the police forces and the directions of the security company personnel, who have been hired under the provision of the organizing authority and will be present at the tiers and the around the field.
