STATEMENT
The Chief of the Hellenic Police Lieutenant General Anastasios Dimoschakis after the completion of the Champions League Football Final, proceeded in the following salutation through intrachannel communication of the police force :
Tonight, at the Olympic Stadium of Athens, the biggest athletic event of Europe, that is the Champions League , has ended.
To the result of this great celebration of football all the involved agencies have contributed , but especially so the Hellenic Police.
All of you had exceeded yourselves and have materialized our plans to the maximum level.
As the Chief of the Force I convey to you the warm congratulations of the Minister of Public Order Mr Vyron Polydoras, the Generals and the high ranked staff of the Hellenic Police Headquarters, as well as of the General Police Directorate of Attica.
I personally congratulate you and thank each one of you and all of you together for the absolutely successful result that we have all experienced.
The Hellenic Police, strong, properly organized and effective, glorified once more our country all around the world, since the Football Final Champions League starting from Athens, will always have to be each year the most glorious and safe celebration of the European Athleticism.
